...is a real vampire hunter. He doesn't wear a wide
brim anime hat, or a long trenchcoat, or know 17 different forms of
karate, or have an extensive Batman-like collection of ridiculous
anti-vampire technology. He's too busy actually killing vampires.
Simon's got his wits, his skills, and a
palpable dislike of everyone around him. But mostly, palpable dislike of
everyone around him.
He's on the front lines of the fight against the scourge of Vampires as
a card-carrying member of The Hunting Party, the worldwide 'union' of
vampire hunters, lead by The Front Office. And on the front lines, you
get paid badly, treated worse, and you have to find your own students.
He's also had to kill a couple of them. More than a couple. Hey, to
be fair, they shouldn't have sucked. It was their decision to be
awful at it.
He met a woman named Kristy who wanted to learn how to kill her former
best friend who had been turned. Then, in the same cemetery he calls his
office, he met Belle, that best friend, and proceeded to laugh her
pathetic ass out of his graveyard. That was a BIG mistake.
One he ended up paying for with a punch in the face, and a series
of cause-and-effect so bad, The Front Office (the leaders of The Hunting
Party) calls it "The Incident".
It was so bad that "The Litigator" himself, the Attorney General for The
Hunting Party, went into the field to personally handle Simon's
probation period. Simon was made into the Litigator's lackey during the
final hours of "The Dracula Clock" which turned out to have been
miscalculated badly, and was one of the first to discover that "The
First Hunter" had been found in Europe, brought to the United States,
and was now lumbering around preparing to smash everything in its path
to The Dracula.
As if that wasn't enough, Belle, the "Daughter of Dracula" and Kristina
Taussig had been discovered by a Hunting Party spy and Simon was
dispatched to clean up his mess.
Reports say that Hunting Party Traitor Pierce Donnegan and his lover,
vampire Sydney Gilmour, were also there. In the attack on these 4,
The Hunting Party lost contact with Simon Polidori.
Simon got the confirmed kill on the traitor Pierce Donnegan, but contact
was lost, and Simon has been missing since that confirmation. Evidence
on scene suggests he was take somewhere, and not immediately killed.
Simon Polidori is considered Missing In Action by order of The Hunting
Party, and an Elite Hunter has been dispatched on a final search
mission.
